Today I woke up feeling super guilty!! I have been working a lot, spending a lot of time building this blog, and not as much time with the kids. I guess they call it ‘mom guilt’ you know what I’m talking about? I got the kids ready for preschool and dropped them off. I made it my mission to get all recipe testing and house cleaning done in the 3 hours they are gone at school……ambitious much Kaylen???
Well my mission wasn’t successful, I literally felt like I just started cleaning and then it was time to go get them, funny how that happens! I picked them up and we came home and had some homemade Italian subs for lunch. After cleaning up lunch I put a call into a coworker and got my swim groups covered. I did a five min make up job threw some cute jeans on. I told the kids I was taking them to the pumpkin patch! They were thrilled, we all did a happy dance!!
While I was at the patch I made an attempt not to use my phone for anything but pictures. I feel that running a Instagram food account can be really time-consuming, and demanding. There are times where I will pull my phone out and try to reply to every ‘dm’ and every comment as they come, but sometimes I can’t keep up. I’ve come to accept this, and I feel like my follower base hopefully understands! There has to be a balance for me and my family comes first always.
I hope I am showing my kids how to interact with others and always be present. We laughed a lot, played the games and rode the train! It is amazing how much these little ones absorb. Conversations with Kyson and Fiori are always so entertaining, I absolutely love their curiosity and there wanting to know how or why things are they way they are. They had the best time, and nothing makes my heart happier than seeing them smile.
It’s now time for me to get cozy on the couch with my babe, we just started watching “Once Upon a Time” on Netflix, it’s actually very good. I’m only on the third episode of season 1. I can not wait for the new season of “Stranger Things” to start this month!! I love Netflix!! Any good recommendations??
Here are some pictures from the pumpkin patch! It was impossible to get the kids to look at the camera with all the excitement going on around them!!
Have a wonderful night!
