Beef and Broccoli

Beef and Broccoli is a 1 pan 30-minute meal full of nutritious broccoli, tender beef, and a delicious stir fry sauce.

Ingredients

Beef and Broccoli

  • 2 pounds flank steak, thinly sliced into strips
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp corn starch + 1 1/2 tbsp water, or sub arrowroot
  • 5 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

Stir-Fry Sauce

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp agave
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp crushed ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp corn starch, or sub arrowroot

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl combine oyster sauce, avocado oil, corn starch, and water.
  2. Place thinly sliced beef in the mixture, toss and coat, then set aside.
  3. Prepare stir fry sauce. In a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, agave, oyster sauce, minced garlic, crushed ginger, sesame oil, chicken broth, and corn starch. Set aside.
  4. Heat a large skillet to medium heat and add 1 tbsp of avocado oil. Add broccoli to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, just until broccoli is tender but not fully cooked. Remove broccoli from skillet, set aside.
  5. In the same skillet add 1 tbsp of avocado oil and brown the beef until golden brown.
  6. Pour stir-fry sauce over the beef, bring the sauce to a light simmer.
  7. Add broccoli back to the skillet. Stir to combine everything together, continue cooking for 3-4 more minutes.
  8. Serve beef & broccoli while hot, it goes great with rice.
