This Jam is so good, your going to want to put it on everything. My three favorite way to use it is ontop of my oats, in my yogurt, and lathered on toast. The best part… there are no added sugars!! Just simple whole ingredients! The only sugar coming from this jam is from fructose, the natural sugar found in berries. I always keep a jar stored in the fridge. This is a great alternative to store bought jam.
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 3 cup fresh berries
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp chia seeds
In a saucepan heat coconut oil till liquid. Add in berries and honey, bring to a boil stirring frequently, reduce heat.
Simmer, uncovered for about 6-8 minutes. Turn off heat.
With a fork mash up the berries. Pour in the chia seeds and stir, until thickened. Pour jam into a half pint jar and seal with a lid. It will last in the refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
