Flank Steak

Key Ingredient

Carne Asada – flank steak – soy sauce, sub tamari – lime juice – orange juice – avocado oil – coconut sugar – cumin – garlic powder – smoked paprika – chili powder – onion powder – oregano – salt For Serving (or your favs) – quality corn tortillas – Queso Fresco – sour cream – pico de galo – guacamole

marinate

1. To a large zip lock bag add soy sauce, lime juice, orange juice, avocado oil, coconut sugar, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, oregano, and salt. Whisk to combine ingredients. Add steak to the bag and squeeze out any air. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2-12 hours.

2. While steak is marinating prepare pico de galo.

3. Grease and preheat an outdoor grill or indoor grill pan to high heat.

COOK

4. Remove steak from marinade and discard bag. Add steak to the grill and cook each side 7-10 minutes flipping once for medium steak. Add an additional 5 minutes for a medium-well steak. If you like rare steak cook on HIGH to get a nice char on the outside in less time.

5. Remove steak from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes.

6. Warm the corn tortillas.

7. Dice steak up into small bite-size pieces.

8. Assemble street tacos by piling warm tortillas with carne aada, pico de galo, guacamole, and cheese. Enjoy!
