Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Christmas Tree Bread
This festive Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Christmas Tree Bread is the ultimate holiday appetizer. It is soft, warm pizza dough stuffed with melty mozzarella, brushed in garlic butter, and baked into the cutest Christmas tree shape. Easy, cheesy, kid-approved, and guaranteed to disappear at every holiday party!
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella
- ¼ cup grated parmesan
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- ½ tsp oregano
- Salt, to taste
- Chili flakes, to taste
- Marinara, for dipping
Equipment
- 1 baking sheet half size works best
- 1 Parchment paper for easy clean up + even baking
- 1 Pastry brush for brushing garlic butter
- 1 Mixing bowl for garlic butter mixture
- 1 microplane for parmesan
- 1 Small dipping bowls for mainara
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the pizza dough into even pieces. Add a pinch of mozzarella and parmesan to each piece and roll into tight balls.
- Arrange the dough balls on the baking sheet in a Christmas tree shape.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and chili flakes. Brush half of the mixture over the dough balls.
- Bake for 17–20 minutes, or until golden and the cheese is melted inside.
- Brush the warm tree with the remaining garlic butter. Serve immediately with marinara for dipping.
Notes
- Make sure your dough is slightly chilled when shaping the balls, warm dough gets sticky and harder to seal.
- Seal each dough ball tightly to prevent cheese from leaking out while baking.
- Add a small cube of mozzarella inside each ball for extra cheesy pulls.
- Feel free to customize with mini pepperoni, pesto, or roasted garlic for extra flavor.
- Brush with additional melted butter after baking for the prettiest golden finish.
- Best served warm right out of the oven with marinara.
