Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
Prep the salmon: Cut into cubes and pat dry with a paper towel.
Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, garlic powder, ginger, Sriracha, and smoked paprika.
Coat the salmon: Pour the sauce over the salmon cubes and gently toss until fully coated.
Air fry: Arrange the salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the salmon is caramelized and flakes easily.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
Recipe Notes 👩🏽🍳
Pat salmon very dry
before adding the marinade. This helps the glaze stick and gives the bites a caramelized finish.
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
Cook in two batches if needed so the salmon gets crispy edges.
Make it mild:
Skip the Sriracha for a totally kid-friendly version.
Make it spicier:
Add more Sriracha or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
Soy sauce swap:
Coconut aminos or tamari both work great and make the recipe gluten-free.
Oven option:
Bake at
425°F for 10–12 minutes
, broil the last minute for extra caramelization.
Storage:
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to
3 days
. Reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes.
Serving ideas:
These salmon bites are amazing over rice bowls, noodles, salads, or in lettuce wraps.
Use fresh ginger if possible
for the best flavor — it adds brightness and balance to the sweetness.
Want a thicker glaze?
Cook the remaining sauce on the stovetop for 1–2 minutes until sticky, then drizzle over the cooked salmon.
