Fresh Grapefruit Margarita

With temperatures rising and the days getting longer with tons of sunshine, there is nothing quite like a refreshing cocktail to cool you down. The color of this grapefruit margarita will lift any mood! I was gifted a giant bag of grapefruits from our generous neighbor; what a total score! I love fresh seasonal produce!

This grapefruit margarita is a classic twist on the margarita that offers a perfect balance of tartness, sweetness, and a hint of bitterness. With its vibrant color and citrus profile, this cocktail is the epitome of summer in a glass.

This Margarita is perfect for your next gathering or enjoying yourself after a long day! For a gathering, I recommend doubling or even tripling the recipe. This recipe makes 2-3 margaritas as is.

Cheers to summer and the joy of savoring delicious cocktails like this Fresh Grapefruit Margarita! Let this post remind you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures with gratitude and celebration!

Love fresh summer drinks, also try:

Two glasses of refreshing Grapefruit Margaritas, with a chili powder-rimmed glass, garnished with lime wedges and slices of citrus inside. The drink has an orange hue and is placed on a countertop with sunlight streaming in. Another similar glass is out of focus in the background.

Pour a thin layer of tajin into a shallow bowl. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glasses and dip into tajin to coat. Set aside.

Fill glasses with ice. Pour margarita over ice and serve immediately. Garnish with lime or grapefruit wedge, enjoy!

        Notes

If you do not like tajin, you could swap it out for a salt or sugar rim.
