This creamy honey balsamic fig and burrata salad is going to WOW your tastebuds. This is a beautiful appetizer to serve your guest or just enjoy yourself. This is my favorite seasonal fig appetizer to serve.

It’s officially fig season around here, and I couldn’t be more excited because my fig tree is producing so many figs! Figs in savory dishes are one of my favorites ways to enjoy them. There is also something so rewarding about eating food you grow yourself. Honey Balsamic Figs and Burrata will be one of your favorite dishes! Eat it for lunch and serve it as a beautiful appetizer there is no wrong way to enjoy it!

I love anything with Burrata! Literally, I’ve been eating burrata on my salads, pasta, pizzas, toasts, chicken dishes, I really do LOVE it. The paring of burrata with honey, balsamic, and figs, well it’s just WOW!! It goes absolutely perfect with a toasted baguette or my personal favorite sourdough.

What kind of figs do I use?

Ripe Figs! I prefer mission figs for this Honey Balsamic Figs and Burrata, but other verities will work as long as they are ripe. I’ve read on google that there are over 700 names verities of figs!!

How to make Honey Balsamic Figs and Burrata

This recipe requires no cooking, perfect for warm weather days. In a shallow bowl or appetizer plate place the burrata ball. With a knife slice it once vertically and once horizontally. Using a spoon spread the cheese all over the dish. Top with sliced figs, drizzle honey, and balsamic, then sprinkle with crushed pistachios and flakey sea salt. Serve it with warm toasted baguette or sourdough bread.

Where can I find burrata cheese?

Due to increasing popularity, I’ve seen it at all markets. It’s always next to the fresh parmesan and mozzarella in a plastic tub. The stores I always see it at are Sprouts, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz Burrata ball
  • 5-6 medium figs
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Pinch of flakey sea salt & back pepper
  • 1 tbsp crushed pistachios
  • Toasted sourdough or baguette for serving

Instructions

    1. I’m a shallow bowl cut the Burrata into 4’s and spread out over the bowl.
    2. Top with figs, olive oil, balsamic glaze, honey, basil, salt, pepper, and pistachios. Serve with toasted sourdough.
